WHO ARE THEY?
Udinese Calcio hail from the town of Udine in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of Northern Italy), They were formed in 1896 as part of the town's gymnastic association and played in regional leagues until 1929 when the side who wear black and white shirts were promoted to Serie B. Udinese were relegated but in 1950 were promoted to the top division. Then followed a five year spell in the top flight before being relegated following a nine point deduction for irregularities.
They had a fourteen season spell in Serie C before getting back into the top flight in 1995 where they have remained since.
Honours include two Serie B champions , three Serie C champions, the Anglo Italian Cup and the Intertoto Cup.
