Coventry City Reserves came back to earn a 1-1 draw against Hereford United.
Steve Ogrizovic named a team of first teamers like Leon McKenzie,Robert Page,Luke Steele and Chris Birchall in a mixed City side.
Hereford boss Graham Turner fielded a good number of first team players including some who had played against City in the League Cup tie back in August like Stuart Fleetwood. Former City Reserves team Luke Webb was left out but Danny Thomas who made a couple of appearances for City Reserves last season was on the bench.
In a first half on a sunny but cold, youngster David Burtoft had the first effort striking the bar from the edge of the area.
City played some neat football and should have had 16th minute penalty when Leon McKenzie was pulled down.
Colin Cameron and Chris Birchall ran their hearts out with the former Port Vale sending a 27th minute drive over and then firing over in the 33rd minute.
It was the visitors who took the lead in the 50th minute when a mistake let in Tim Sills who rounded sub trialist keeper Danny Ireland and tapped into an empty net.
Ange Lourougnon had a header from a 56th minute corner saved on the line as City fought to get back into the game.
The Sky Blues were back in the 67th minute when a terrific move involving Jones,Duggan and Birchall was thumped home from the edge of the area by Leon McKenzie.
In the last minute,a Steve Guinan shot was deflected into his own net by Liam Francis but it was ruled out for offside and both sides settled for a draw.
