Great Britain trail 2-0 on the opening day of Aegon Davis Cup match against Russia at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
In the Jaquar Exhibition Hall, Daniels Evans faced Dimitry Turnsunov in the first rubber.
The Russian won the first heat 6-4 but Evans came back to win the second 7-6. Turnsunov took the third set 7-4 but again Evans came back to take the fourth 7-5. So it went to a fifth set and the Russian won 6-4 with serves of 117mph to put Russia 1-0 up.
James Ward took on Evegeny Donskoy in the second rubber and was two sets up, winning 6-4, 6-4 before the Rissua hit back winning 7-5 and 6-3 before taking the fifth set 8-6.
