The Ricoh Arena in Coventry is looking to host stadium gigs in 2016.
The venue has staged the likes of Bon Jovi, Take That, Oasis and Bruce Springsteen since it opened in 2005, but there has not been a gig in the stadium bowl since 2013.
Andy Gibb, managing director at the Ricoh Arena told the Coventry Telegraph: “Plans are in the pipeline. We are in talks with a number of promoters but at this stage nothing has been finalised. We want to bring the concerts back but we want to provide lots of different entertainment including comedy.
“We had a booking for a concert last year but the tour fell through so it was cancelled. I certainly can’t say for definite when the concerts will come back but next year is a very real possibility. It is something our events team are working on.”
