With Villa Park pulling out yesterday due to planned building work, of the bid to stage pre-liminary round matches in the mens and womens 2012 tournaments, Coventry's Ricoh Arena, along with St Andrews, The City Ground in Nottingham and Pride Park have become possibilities.
According to the Guardian this morning, the term "Ricoh"would have to be dropped from the Olympic games which does not have advertising at its venues.
This won't surprise Ricoh Arena staff who are prepared for this to happen when the Arena stages matches in the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
