Earlier this evening the 2nd round of the 2007 Speedway GP series took place in Wroclaw, Poland with Bees riders Scott Nicholls and Chris Harris there as permanent riders in the series.
Scott was riding for the 1st time since breaking his thumb in a spectacular crash in the previous round 2 weeks ago, after having the injury pinned. Despite running 2 second places and 3 thirds Scott's total of 7 points wasn't sufficient to see him qualify through to the semi-final stage.
Chris 'Bomber' Harris however experienced a much better evening, gaining 11 points including 3 heat wins, which was enough to comfortably see him through to the semi-finals.
A 2nd place in his semi-final saw Bomber into his first final in his first GP series, where he finished a creditable 3rd, behind current championship leader Nicki Pedersen and Hans Andersen. Bomber held off current world champion Jason Crump in the final.
The GP series moves to Sweden on May 26th for the next round, with Nicki Pedersen leading the way on 47 points. Bomber Harris now sits in 6th place on 22 points whilst Scott unfortunatly is in 13th on 10 points.
