Coventry Bees went down to a 48-42 defeat tonight against Swindon at Brandon.
The Bees included Josef Franc and Mathias Thornblom and they could do nothing to prevent Swindon riding to a 5-1 in heat two after a 3-3 in the opening heat.
Ed Kennett rode for a 4-2 to Coventry in heat three but after a 3-3, Swindon took a 4-2 to increase their lead to four points.
Chris Harris' bike packed up in heat six with the Bees on a 5-1 for a 3-3, followed by a 4-2 to Swindon.
Another 3-3 and a 4-2 to Swindon had the visitors eight points before Chris Harris this time had his bike last a full race and the Bees won their first heat of the evening.
In heat eleven, Nicholls and Franc rode to a 5-1 and a 3-3 had the Bees only two points with three heats to go.
After the interval, Harris and Nicholls rode for a 4-2 to level the scores but Swindon won the penultimate heat 4-2 and in the final heat, Harris' bike packed up again, this time not even making the tape and Swindon rode for a 5-1 to win by 48-42
