Coventry Bees Speedway team beat Birmingham Brummies 48-45 in an Elite League match tonight.
With Emil Sayfutdinov away due to the Italian Grand Prix, Nicolai Klindt was the guest rider for the Bees who had to use rider replacement for Przemyslaw Pawlicki and had Filip Sitera back as a guest at number seven.
Riding for the Brummies, was Krzysztof Kasprzak and he won the opening heat ahead of Klindt for a 4-2 to Birmingham.
Josh Auty and Sitera went for the Bees in heat two and picked up points in a 3-3.
Kenni Larsen gated well to win in heat three and with Ryan Fisher getting into third on the second lap, it was 4-2 to the Bees and the match was level at 9-9.
Heat Four produced a 5-1 for Coventry. Ed Kennett got away fine but Danny King went into second before he crashed on the second lap, Sitera moved up and ensured that the Bees got a maximum.
Krzysztof Kasprzak took heat five for a 4-2 to Birmingham but Klindt and Larsen had an easy victory in heat six to see The Bees 21-15 up.
A 3-3 was followed by a 4-2 win thanks to a Larsen victory in heat eight and then three more 3-3's followed.
Ryan Fisher helped the Bees to a 4-2 win in heat twelve and with the Bees ten points ahead, Krzysztof Kasprzak had the tactical ride and lead his side to an 8-1 after Larsen had been squeezed out.
That meant the Bees were ahead by three points and two 3-3's in the final two heats gave Coventry the win.
The Bees are away to Belle Vue on Monday night and the meeting is live on Sky Sports.
