Coventry Bees beat the Kings Lynn Stars 47-43 tonight at Brandon.
The meeting opened with two 3-3's before Ed Kennett and Kenni Larsen rode well for a 5-1 to the Bees in heat three.
Heat four saw the Bees lead extend to six points following a 4-2 but the visitors had the same result in the next heat to take the margin back to four points.
Two 3-3's were followed by each side riding to a 5-1 and a 3-3 in heat ten meant that the Bees went into the interval 32-28 up.
Scott Nicholls was blocked out in heat eleven giving the Stars a 5-1, followed by a 4-2 in the next heat.
The Bees came back with Chris Harris and Scott Nicholls taking a 5-1 to see Coventry back in front by two points.
Heat 14 was a 3-3 and a 4-2 in the final heat gave the Bees a win by four points.
