Coventry Bees Speedway team were beaten 51-39 at Swindon Robins tonight.
The Bees had Leigh Lanham in at number six and Chris Harris and Adam Roynon won the opening heat 4-2.
Both Lanham and Nick Morris fell in heat two and the referee awarded a 3-2 to Swindon.
Kenni Larsen retired in heat three to give Swindon a 5-1 before a 3-3 and a 4-2 win for the Bees to bring the score back to 15-14.
After more tracking grading, a re-run heat seven brought a 4-2 for Swindon who raced former Coventry Bees rider Rory Schlein at number one.
Swindon took a 5-1 in heat eight thanks to Roynon's bike packing up and after a re-run 3-3, Swindon won heat ten to take a nine point lead into the interval.
Chris Harris took the tactical ride but Roynon came off his bike on the third bend and had to be helpled into an ambulance meaning a 4-4 which did not help the Bees cause.
Heat twelve was also re-run after Ed Kennett fell and was won by Swindon 4-2.
Heat thirteen saw Rory Schlein bring down Batchelor who was excluded. Schlein went down in the re-run and the Bees were awarded a 5-0 heat win.
That saw the Bees eight points behind and in a re-run heat fourteen, a 3-3 meant that Swindon won the meeting.
In the final heat, Chris Harris fell on the second lap and Swindon took a 5-1 to win 51-39.
