Bees Beaten At Wolves

Coventry Bees went down to a 47-43 defeat at Wolverhampton Wolves.

At Monmore Green, the Bees had Chris Harris back for a meeting which saw plenty of work done to the track before the start of the racing.

Hans Anderson started with a win in the opening heat which finished 3-3 and was followed by Jason Garrity and James Sarjeant riding for a 4-2.

Wolves came back in the third with a 5-1 but Garrity won again in a 4-2 to see the scores at 12-12 after four heats.

Engine failure for Ryan Fisher gave Wolves a 5-1 in the fifth and Anderson and Harris rode for a 5-1 to even up the scores yet again.

After two 3-3's, Garrity won again in a 5-1 which was cancelled out in the next heat with a 5-1 for Wolves.

Heat eleven finished in a 3-3 but Jacob Thorssell took heat twelve for a 4-2 to give Wolves a two point lead which was double to four points when Piotr Pawlicki got round Chris Harris.

Garrity had his bike pack up on the seocnd lap of heat fourteen in a 3-3.

That left the Bees needing a 5-1 to get a draw from the meeting. Chris Harris and Hansen could not get the win and a 3-3 meant that the Bees went down to a 47-43 defeat but did take a point from the meeting.
