Coventry Bees Speedway team Co-Promoter Allen Trump is hopeful that he can get Coventry Bees and Peterborough Panthers back in the Elite League.
Trump has been speaking to the promoters of other teams in a bid to gain enough support to win a vote that would see the two clubs back in Speedway's top flight in time for the start of the new season.
Speaking to BBC Radio Cambridgeshire, Trump said: "I hold great hope and confidence we will be able to resolve something this week.
"It will not be formal contact with the BSPA, it's informal contact with certain promoters on the BSPA. "This week I'm in a compromising, negotiating position, so I really don't want to point fingers, you could say there are faults on both sides.
"But certainly with two or three of the agreements we have committed ourselves to, things were changed at the last minute."
