After the meeting, Coventry Bees owner Mick Horton issued the following statement: "I take full responsibility for the unacceptable performances from the Bees. I have put this team together and for reasons I cannot explain, we just cannot produce the form expected at the moment.
"I am disillusioned and disappointed. I want to apologise to our fans, they deserve better than this.
"I will expect a big improvement next week, starting at Belle Vue on Monday, and if we don't improve, changes will happen quickly.
"All credit to Belle Vue, and perhaps if they had taken the tactical ride they would have won. However, being 12 points up we should have finished them off - no excuses.
"One problem we have is that Coventry is always a fair track and teams like coming to us. We desperately need a home advantage with our track, and it is something we have to address very quickly.
"I would urge the fans to stick with us and help pull us through these tough times."
