Coventry Bees went to Belle Vue tonight knowing that they needed the four points to continue their push for the Play-Offs and they got them with a 53-37 victory.
The rain at Kirkmanshulme didn't stop the action and The Bees took the first heat 4-2. A twice re-run heat two saw the home side win 5-1 before a level heat three.
Chris Harris benefited from everyone's mistake in the fourth heat for a 4-2 and Krzysztof Kasprzak and Lewis Bridger earned a 4-2 in the next heat.
Heat six was a 3-3 and the Bees took the next two heats 4-2 to lead 27-21 after eight heats.
Heats nine and ten were drawn but Krzysztof Kasprzak and Lewis Bridger were away first in heat eleven for a 5-1. That was the same score in heats twelve and thirteen.
Belle Vue had a 4-2 in Heat 14 and drew the final heat but yet again the Bees were worthy winners.
Weather permitting, the Bees are at home to Poole on Thursday night. Tapes up at Brandon at 7.30pm.
