Nine hours after this mornings meeting between Peterborough and the Bees which saw the Panthers run out victors by 50- points to 40, the teams met at Brandon for the first home Elite league meeting of the season.
With Christian Hefenbrock injured from a heat 1 crash in the morning meeting, the Bees tracked rider replacement, where his rides would be covered by the rest of the Bees team.
Needing a good start to the meeting, the Bees suffered a reverse 4-2 in heat 1 with Chris Harris fighting his way through to take second place on the last lap.
A Bees maximum in heat 2 was followed by another Panthers 4-2 in heat 3 which tied the scores, and then 4 of the next 5 heats were drawn leaving the Panthers 4 points ahead at this stage of the meeting.
Heat 9 saw the meeting move away from the Bees as a 4-2 reverse was followed by a 2-3 reverse in heat 10 as firstly the Panthers rider Ostergaard suffered an engine failure, and then Coventry's Chris Harris fell.
Heats 11 and 12 sealed the victory for the Panthers as they scored successive heat maximums, and whilst a tactical ride for Chris Harris in heat 13 pulled back 3 points for the Bees, the final two heats were drawn leaving the result reading Coventry 41 Peterborough 51.
