Coventry Bees Speedway Team meeting at Eastbourne Eagles was abandoned after six heats.
Conditions were difficult at the Arlington Stadium but the meeting which was live on Sky Sports went ahead.
It did not start well for the Bees with Emil Sayfutdinov's bike packing up in the opening heat and Eastbourne getting a 5-1.
The home side won the second heat by the same score after Travis McGowan hit a fence and was excluded, leaving Josh Auty to get the only point.
Heat Three was also re-run after the referee was not happy with the start. Former Bees rider Lewis Bridger and Gustafsson kept Pawlicki and Fisher at bay and they had an easy 5-1 win to make it 15-3 to Eastbourne.
Ed Kennett won heat four but with Travis McGowan struggling and later withdrawn from the meeting, the Bees got a 3-3.
Emil Sayfutdinov went in heat five with Kenni Larsen. An Eastbourne rider went down on lap two and it looked like a 5-1 to Coventry with the Russian well clear. However, on lap three, Lewis Bridger got past Larsen for a 4-2 to the Bees.
The rain was starting to come down and Dryml went down on the opening lap of heat six. Ed Kennett lead with Pedersen second and Josh Auty who was also struggling in third for another 4-2 to Coventry and meaning that Eastbourne were 22-14 up.
It was raining on top of the sawdust on the track and the match officials were left with no choice but to abandon the meeting.
The Bees are at home to Swindon on Friday night and then at home to Poole next Monday.
