Bees Statement Says No Statement

Coventry Bees Speedway team have been advised by their legal advisors not to make a public statement as their 63 year run looks to becoming to an end.

The Bees management along with Peterborough's bosses walked out of the Elite League AGM in Bournemouth last week in protest at new regulations on team building.

As they were not in attendance at the end of the AGM, the other clubs have claimed that the Bees and Peterborough have not declared their intention to run a team in the league which is due to start in March and there are rumours that Kings Lynn may step up in order that the league honours its Sky television contract.

So far, there has been no climb-down from either side and the Bees owner Avtar Sandhu issued a statement on the Bees website saying: "We will make a public statement when we are advised that we are able to do so but we would like to assure fans, riders, sponsors and suppliers that we will be fighting for top flight speedway at Coventry Stadium.

"We will leave no stone unturned in our search for a solution."
