Coventrian Ian Bell was out for 199 on the second day of the first test against South Africa.
Bell resumed on his over night total of 75 and played some superb shots. However,needing one more run to reach the 200 mark,he was caught nd bowled by former Warwicks man Paul Harris.
Earlier, Kevin Pietersen had made 152,Stuart Broad 76 and Tim Ambrose a miserable four. England finally declared on 593-8 and South Africans closed on 7-0.
In the tour match at Edgbaston, the game against Bangladesh A was severely affected by rain. Only 29 overs were bowled with the visitors on 117-2. New boys Michael Balac took one of the catches and Andy Miller got his first wicket for Warwickshire.
