Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey team won 3-2 at Hull Stringrays last night.
Having lost 3-1 at Nottingham on Boxing Day, Paul Thompson's side travelled to Hull and were ahead in the sixth minute through Dan Carlson.
Michael Tasker and Danny Stewart set up Russ Cowley for a second for the Blaze on 22.58. However, Hull hit back in the second period with goals from Brad Patterson at 34.51 and James Knight at 39.22.
The clock was slowly ticking towards over-time but up popped Adam Calder to fire home his 26th goal of the season on 56.36 and give Coventry the win.
Blaze now lead the table by five points having 46 points to Cardiff's 41 and have three games in hand. Third are Sheffield Steelers who travel to the Sky Dome on Sunday at 6pm.
