Coventry Blaze beat Cardiff Devils 6-4 at the Sky Dome on Saturday night.
Jerramie Domish fired Coventry ahead on 1.22, assisted by Shea Guthrie but Cardiff fired back with three goals in less than six minutes through Chris Frank and a Ben Davies brace to lead 3-1 at the end of the first.
Whatever coach Paul Thomson said at the interval worked as by the end of the second, the Blaze had levelled, through a Matic Kralj powerplay goal on 26.08, assisted by Player Of The Year Shea Guthrie and Robert Farmer and Guthrie on 30.21 who scored assisted by Farmer and Wood.
A minute and 42 seconds into the third and Woo Sang Park made it 4-3 to The Blaze, assisted by Mike McLean and Bryan Jurynec before the Blaze scored twice in a minute through Mike McLean, assisted by Dustin Wood and Jerramie Domish with a powerplay goal on 44.23 and twenty six seconds later, Robert Farmer hit the sixth, assisted by Owen Fussey.
Cardiff reduced the arrears slightly with a Mike Richardson goal on 56.14 but it could not take the gloss off a fine win..
