Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey club went down to a 4-2 defeat tonight against Braehead Clan.
The Blaze had Brian Lee off the ice for high sticking and the visitors made the most of their numerical advantage to score a power play goal through Jon Landry on 12.03.
It was a powerplay goal that had Coventry level on 13.34 when Luke Fulghum scored, assisted by Dan Carlson and Greg Chambers.
The second period saw two goals for Braehead with Matt Wathier scoring on 26.59 and ten minutes later, Bruce Richardson hit a third.
Brad Cruickshank pulled one goal, assisted by Greg Chambers on 58.32 with Blaze coach Thompson pulling his net minder in search of an equaliser, Richardson was able to score an unassisted goal and give Braehead a 4-2 victory.
