Only five Blaze fans and around 100 Capitals fans were in the Murrayfield Arena to see Dan Carlson, assisted by Zanon fire Coventry ahead on 6.33.

Then on 8.06, Owen Fussey added a second for Coventry, assisted by Chambers and Owen.
Edinburgh pulled one back with a Fanto powerplay goal on 10.21 but back came the Blaze and Cruickshank made it 3-1 to Coventry when he found the net on 11.52, assisted by Russ Cowley.
Into the second period and Chris St.Jacques hit two goals in quick succession to leave the Blaze Coach Paul Thompson fuming. He would have not been happy when Neil Hay put Edinburgh ahead for the first time in the match in the 35th minute.
Worse was to follow before the period ended as a Perrault shot went off the bar and into the net and twenty seconds later, Alex Kim made it 6-3 following a two on one.
Six minutes into the third and Jason Robinson hit a fourth for Coventry with a powerplay goal, assisted by Sean Selsmer, only for Alex Kim to score again for Edinburgh on 52.08.
The Capitals twice hit the post but with five minutes of the match left, Russ Cowley scored a short-handed goal to see Coventry beaten 7-5.
On Saturday, The Blaze travel to Nottingham before taking on Braehead Clan at the Sky Dome on Sunday.
