Coventry Blaze went down to a 5-3 defeat to Nottingham Panthers tonight.
At the Sky Dome, the Blaze, who lost in over time at Sheffield Steelers last night, again raced into a three goal lead.
Kevin Harvey scored the first on the powerplay on 4.59, assisted by Ryan Ginand and Michael Devin and on 12.34, Ryan Ginand hit the second, assisted by Adam and Michael Heinrich.
This was followed up by Benn Olson adding a third on 14.06, assisted by Harvey and Russ Cowley.
Before the end of the first period, the Panthers had responded with two goals from former Blaze player Robert Farmer on 19.12 and Petr Kalus on 19.47.
Five seconds after the half hour mark and Nottingham drew level thanks to Brandon Benedict scoring with a powerplay goal.
Chris Murray made it four for the Panthers on the powerplay on 35.06 after a fight between Harvey and Farmer and 37.43, Benedict scored his second of the night to see the Blaze go down to a 5-3 defeat.
