Coventry Blaze were beaten 6-1 by Nottingham Panthers tonight, twenty four hours after they had lost by the same score.
With everyone back to the Sky Dome, the Blaze took the lead with a powerplay goal on 9.45 when Owen Fussey scored, assisted by Matic Kralj and Shea Guthrie.
It was a powerplay goal that got the visitors level on 18.59 when David Beauregard scored and at the end of the first, the Blaze were trailing when Marc Levers hit a second for Nottingham.
The second period failed to produce anything of note but the third was a different matter.
Matt Myers hit a third on 41.45. Then net minder Peter Hirsch received five minutes and then a game ban for high-sticking after punching Myers with his blocker and knocking out some teeth with Robert Farmer getting five minutes for fighting with Brock Wilson and Russ Cowley getting two minutes for roughing,
On the powerplay, Jordan Fox made it 4-1 on 50.37 and six minutes later, they went nap through David Clarke.
Nineteen seconds from time, former Blaze player Corey Neilson scored to rub even more salt in to the Blaze's wounds.
The Blaze are away to Hull on Friday night before taking on Fife on Saturday at the Sky Dome.
