Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey team beat Edinburgh Capitals 8-2 tonight at the Sky Dome.
Back from their two games against Belfast, the Blaze took the lead on 6.24 with a powerplay goal from Adam Henrich, assisted by Ashley Tait and Ryan Ginand, who scored a second twenty seconds later, assisted by Cale Tanaka and Dale White.
Richard Hartmann pulled a goal back for the Scottish side on 14.45 but it was 3-1 on 23.22 when Michael Henrich scored, assisted by Matt Selby and Nejc Berlisk.
Curtis Leinweber scored a second goal for the Capitals on the powerplay on 28.53 but the Blaze raised their game and Michael Henrich added a fourth on 36.37 with a powerplay goal, Shea Guthrie and Ashley Tait who, just before the end of the second period, hit a fifth on 39.01, assisted by Shea Guthrie and Adam Henrich.
Tait scored his second goal of the night on 46.03, assisted by Adam Henrich and James Griffin and a good evening's work was wrapped with a second for Ryan Ginand on 49.57, assisted by Cale Tanaka, who made it 8-2 with a powerplay goal on 53.02, assisted by Kelsey Wilson and Michael Devin.
