Coventry Blaze are through to the Elite League Play-Off Finals weekend in Nottingham next weekend, following a 4-1 home victory tonight.
Having won 2-1 at Hull Stingrays last night, Coventry iced Adam Calder for the last time and Matt Soderstrom for his 500th appearance.
The Blaze took the lead on 7.06 when Derek Campbell scored assisted by Luke Fulghum and Jon Weaver.
Just over three minutes later, the Blaze fans were on their feet when Greg Owen scored assisted by Jon Weaver.
By the end of the first period, Coventry led by three goals thanks to Luke Fulghum finding the net, asssisted by Brian Lee and Derek Campbell on 18.52.
Former Blaze player Sylvain Cloutier scored the only goal of the second period when he netted for Hull on 30.52. but just under two minutes into the second period, Luke Fulghum restored the three goal lead advantage when he netted, assisted by Soderstrom and Peter Hirsch.
