Coventry Blaze beat Nottingham Panthers 5-2 tonight to record back to back victories this weekend.
At the Sky Dome tonight, the opening period was goal-less but on 25.08, Adam Calder put Coventry ahead with a power play goal.
Three minutes later, despite being held back, Russ Cowley kept control of his stick and fired a second for the Blaze.
The Coventry fans in the Sky Dome were going mental when the Blaze hit a third goal on 30.56 through Dan Carlson.
Into the third and it was 4-0 to the Blaze when Dan Carlson netted his second of the night on 45.08, assisted by Luke Fulghum and Matt Soderstrom.
With referee Hicks bemusing the home crowd with some of his decisions, Nottingham came back with two goals. The first was a powerplay goal on 52.41 scored by Cameron Mann and just over two minutes later, Dominic D'Amour further reduced the arrears with another powerplay goal.
On 58.10, Greg Chambers started a walk out of Panthers fans when he hit the fifth for the Blaze, assisted by Jon Weaver.
Next Saturday, the Blaze are at home to Hull Stingrays. Face off is at 7pm and then on Sunday, they travel to Nottingham to play the Panthers.
