Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey club drew with Manchester Phoenix tonight at the Sky Dome in a Best Of Britain tie.
Greg Chambers fired the Blaze ahead before Marcus Kristoffersson equalised but Greg Owen scored to see Coventry 2-1 up at the end of the first period.
Coventry were still ahead at the end of the second period after former Blaze player Curtis Huppe levelled the match and Ross Venus to go up the other end and scored.
With Russ Cowley in the box for interference, Manchester equalised for a third time in the game thanks to James Archer scoring a powerplay goal.
Manchester hit the pipes and then took the lead thanks to Andrew Sharp. Back came the Blaze who levelled through Chambers and then Arron Nell hit the pipes as the match finished in a 4-4 draw.
On Saturday, the Blaze are at home to Hull Stingrays (7pm face off) before they travel to Sheffield Steelers on Sunday (5pm face off)
