Coventry Blaze made it a double winning weekend with a 5-2 victory over Hull Stingrays at the Sky Dome tonight.
The vistors who brought a mere ten fans to the Sky Dome were the first to have something to cheer when Stephen Burns fired home unassisted on 5.13.
Four minutes later, the Blaze came back to level thanks to Luke Fulghum finding the net with a short handed goal assisted by Carlson and Soderstrom.
Adam Calder, who scored twice in the win at Belfast last night, hit the bar at the end of a physical encounter but it was 1-1 going into the second period.
On 27.53, it was Calder who fired the Blaze in front when he scored assisted by Russ Cowley and Derek Campbell.
There were no more goals until Adam Calder lashed home the puck on a power play on 42.06.
Then the Blaze fans only had to wait for a minute and 37 seconds for another goal when Greg Owen netted, assisted by Danny Stewart and Tom Watkins.
Hull pulled one back with Burn's second goal of the night on 49.50 but the Blaze's three goal lead was restored on 53.36 as Derek Campbell scored, assisted by Russ Cowley.
Next Saturday, the Blaze are at home to Newcastle Vipers and away to Hull on Sunday.
