Winterbottom came through the Sphinx ranks as well as Henley College where he attained a national diploma in sports and a Level 1 Coaching badge.
The talented 20 year old leaves with the best wishes of everyone at the lub and told the CT: "Playing in The Vase Quarter-Finals was the highllight of my career so far and I would like to thank Coventry Sphinx for giving me the opportunity to play at such a level. I will miss my team mates when I travel to America."
