Leamington FC have sacked their manager Jason Cadden.

The man who took the team from the second division of the Midland Combination to the Southern League Premier Division in only nine years, was dismissed after Leamington's third straight defeat yesterday at Halesowen Town.

Leamington Chairman Jim Scott said to his club's website: "We recognise that Jason has made a massive contribution to Leamington FC in his nine years as manager, since the re-birth of the club in 2000. He will forever hold a special place in the hearts and memories of Brakes fans and this has been a hugely difficult decision for us to make.

His energy, effort and commitment to the club have been nothing other than first class as has been the manner in which he has conducted himself. I have had a good relationship with him and having to tell him of our decision was certainly one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. Unfortunately, we felt that it was the correct action to take as we seek to continue the team and clubs development.

I am sure that I speak on behalf of everyone at the club when I say "Thank-you Cadsy". You have made a fantastic contribution and deserve your esteemed place in Brakes history. We wish you the very best for the future and hope that in the fullness of time you will be a regular visitor at the New Windmill Ground".
