Coventry City Ladies FC are delighted to announce their pre-season friendly schedule in preparation for their return to the FA Premier League Northern Division. A tough pre-season schedule is lined up for both their first and reserve teams going into the 2010-11 campaign, with pre-season training already underway!
18th July - Blackburn Rovers 1st and res (Home, 2pm ko)
25th July - Nottingham Forest 1st and res (Away, 2pm ko)
3rd August - Wolverhampton Wanderers 1st team only (Home, 7.30pm ko)
8th August - Liverpool 1st and res (Away, 12pm and 2pm ko)
15th August - 1st Brighton and Hove Albion, Res Stoke City (Home, 2pm ko)
22nd August - 1st team first league game, Leafield V reserves (Away, 2pm ko)
29th August - Stratford V Reserves (Away, 2pm ko)
5th September - Reserves first league game
The senior team are also delighted to announce the arrival of Steve Ellis, Mark Kavanagh and Shaun Green to the existing coaching set up of Rob Williams, Scott Riddell and Gemma Tomkinson. Manager Paul Cudby said:
"We've made some terrific additions to our coaching team, and I'm sure that we'll be the envy of many clubs in the Midlands to have secured the services of such a good off the field team. Our pre-season friendlies are tough, and will give us a good idea of what we are to expect in the Premier League, we all know results in pre-season mean little, the main aim is that hopefully it will help us be ready for Sunday 22nd August to give a good account of ourselves."
Coventry City Ladies FC friendly home games will take place at Cryfield pitches at the University of Warwick, CV4 7AL, entry is free.
First team league games (22nd August onwards) will take place at the Athletics Track Stadium at University of Warwick, CV4 8UW. Reserves league games will take place at Cryfield.
