Wilson moved to Coventry to lead the club back to the Premiership in 2006 as a key part of their 'Think Premiership' campaign and for the last two season has missed out on promotion finishing second on both occasions.
Commenting on his move "I leave with a heavy heart knowing that Coventry have a real chance this season, but the lure of football at the highest level is a rare chance and one that I can't resist. I leave a squad who are as determined as the Board to get them them promotion and I feel sure they can do it. Coventry are one of the best clubs I have ever worked with and wish them all the best"
Chairman David Singleton added "I'm flattered that Birmingham City Ladies approached us to talk to Stuart and I wish him all them best on his move. We have progressed tremendously well with him and know that we can build on his legacy.
