Coventry City Ladies will look to put a disappointing performance behind them as they go to Crewe Alexandra in search of their first points away from home. The Sky Blues are coming off the back of a frustrating trip to Wolves where they created numerous good chances but couldn't find a way to goal as they suffered a second straight 1-0 reversal on the road.
Manager Paul Cudby has been boosted by the news that both of last weeks left-sided starters, full-back Jenni Lowe & winger Helen Dermody, have recovered from injuries picked up in the bruising encounter with Wolves. Jade Formaston however, who suffered a concussion during the match, is struggling to be ready for the trip to Cheshire.
The Sky Blues will be out to jump-start their promotion campaign & Cudby is looking for a response from his squad during the build up to the Crewe match. "I'm sure everyone will be doing everything they can throughout the week to make sure they're in the starting line up on Sunday. Hopefully the players will be desperate to put a very flat performance behind them".
In other news, Coventry City Ladies have launched their new look website which covers not only the first team but also the reserves and entire Centre of Excellence. The brand new site can be found at http://www.cclfc.co.uk/ and is the most up to date source for news regarding the Sky Blues Ladies.
