Coventry Bees Speedway Team were beaten 46-44 at Birmingham tonight.
The Bees has Chris Harris back in the side after the Cornish competed in the Speedway GP in New Zealand at the weekend and Harris took a second in the third heat behnd former Bees rider Ed Kennett after the opening two heats had finished as 3-3's.
Two points down, the Bees might have been but in heat four, Ryan Fisher and James Sarjeant rode to a 5-1 to see Coventry now in front by two points.
Heats five and six finished in 3-3's before Jason Garrity went down in heat seven and Birmingham were able to take a 4-2 heat win to even up the scores once again.
In Heat eight, The Bees allowed Danny King and Danny Nermark to take a 5-1 and in the next heat, Garrity came off his bike on the third lap and the race was awarded as a 5-1 to Birmingham.
Heat ten was a 3-3 and in a twice re-run heat eleven which also saw the interval taken, Howarth won to give the Bees a 4-2 heat win and see them now down by six points.
Fisher and Hans Andersen won the next two heats for 4-2's and with a 3-3, the Bees were two points down going into the final heat.
Hans Andersen won the heat but Kyle Howarth could only finish last and the Bees were beaten 46-44.
