Coventry Rugby Club went down to a 36-35 defeat at Tynedale.

Coventry travelled to Northumbria and had a good first half, scoring tries through Oliver and two from Le Roux as well as having captain Cliff Hodgson kick three penalties and two conversations.

That meant Cov lead 28-17 at half time but Cov only scored a solitary try from Hurrell which Hdogson converted whilst Franland ran in two tries and one for Smales which was converted by Beasley to send Coventry to defeat.
