Coventry Bears Rugby League team were beaten 32-6 at Hemel Hempstead Stags today.
At Pennine Way, Hemel Hempstead, the home side took a tenth minute lead with a converted try against the run of play.
The Bears tried to get back into the game but trailed to that solitary try at the break.
Three minutes into the second half and Hemel doubled their tally with a converted try after the Bears defence had been split.
A third try for the home side came when a crossfield kick was caught by the Hemel winger who scored. The extra points were not taken and Hemel lead 16-0.
That became 20-0 when a crossfield kick was fumbled by the Bears and it fell for the Hemel centre to score wide out on the left.
The mishandling continued and another fumble lead to Hemel further increasing their lead with a converted try.
Harry Kaufman put an under-strength Coventry on the board with a try which Stephen Coleman converted and Hemel scored another try late on to condemn The Bears to a 32-6 defeat.
Next Sunday, the Bears are away to Bramley, Kick off at the Arthur Miller Stadium in Coal Hill Drive, Stanningley in Leeds is at 2.30pm.
