Coventry Bears Rugby League Club were beaten 26-16 at Bramley in their latest match.
In Leeds this afternoon, Bramley took an early lead, scoring from the left centre for an unconverted try after the Bears defeance had given away a number of penalties.
Coventry hit back immediately through a sweeping move to Ross Bayston on the left to level before Bramley went up the other end to score from close range through their hooker.
A missed tackle and it was 14-4 to Bramley and with the Bears inside defence not moving up,Bramley's lose forward was able to score and give the Yorkshiremen a sixteen point lead.
That was back down to ten points when Elliott Hirst broke and Mark White scored under the post with Coleman converting for the extra points to go in 20-10 down at the break.
Against the run of play, Bramley scored first in the second half with a converted try but then some pressure and a kick was followed up by Luke Srama to score for Coventry and with Coleman again converting, the deficit was still ten points.
Coventry could not get any more points and they went down to a defeat.
Coventry Bears at home to St Albans on Saturday June 30. Kick off at the Butts Park Arena is at 2.30pm. Admission is £5 for adults.
