The Bears scored four tries in the first half with Rob Callaway, Sam Viggers, Nick Thatcher and hooker Nikki Hemopo all going over to give Coventry a 24-0 lead at the break.
Luke Watts scored a fifth try six minutes into the second half followed by tries from Lee Parry and Iestyn Pratt.
Birmingham ran in a try but Brad Massey went up the other end to score and Lee Parry got his second of the match as Coventry ran out 52-4 winners.
