Coventry Bees Beat The Wolves

Coventry Bees speedway team beat Wolves tonight 50-43 at Brandon.

The Bees had Chris Harris again riding at number one in place of the injured Hans Andersen but he was trailing in the opening heat which was by Freddie Lungren as Wolves led 4-2.

A re-run heat two saw Richard Sweetman and Josh Auty take a 5-1 win and Prezmyslaw Pawlicki and Ryan Fisher did the same in heat three.

Wolves won heat four 4-2 but the Bees came back taking the next two heats 4-2.

Josh Auty shot from last to first to take Coventry to a 5-1 win in Heat seven and put Coventry 27-15 up.

This gave Wolves a chance for a tactical ride and Lindgren who had the tactical ride won it for a 6-3.

Korneliussen crashed heavily on the opening lap of heat nine and was replaced by Wells for the re-run which saw the Bees having to settle for a 3-3 after Josh Auty's bike packed up.

After the interval, the 11th heat had to be re-run after Josh Auty's bike packed up and he borrowed Richard Sweetman's but could not catch Lindgren.for a 3-3.

Wolves won the next heat 4-2 and Heat 13 finished 3-3. The final two heats also finished 3-3 and meant that Wolves could not stop the Bees from winning 50-43.
