Coventry Bees were beaten 51-39 at Eastbourne Eagles.

At Arlington tonight, The Bees were forced to use rider replacement for Olly Allen and Arron Summers came in for Allen and helped Krzysztof Kasprzak ride to a 5-1 in the first heat.

Eastbourne hit back with a 5-1 in the second heat and a 4-2 in the third followed by a 3-3 to lead 13-11.

Kasprzak and Zengota took a 5-1 in heat five before a Scott Nicholls win gave the Bees a 3-3.

Both Stuart Robson and Lukas Dryml went down in heat seven but got back on their bikes as Eastbourne took a 4-2 to level the scores at 21-21.

A 4-2 for the Bees and a 3-3 followed before the Eagles went back in front with a 5-1 thanks to Pedersen and Bridger.

Heat eleven produced a 3-3 as did heat twelve. But in heat thirteen, the Bees were held back by Woodward as Eastbourne took a 5-1 and extended their lead to 42-36.

Another 5-1 in heat fourteen was enough to give The Eagles the win and a final heat 4-2 made it a 51-39 defeat and a long trip back to Coventry.
