Coventry Blaze made the trek to Dundee Stars tonight but had to make the long journey after a 3-2 defeat.
Two hardy souls spent nine hours getting to Dundee and saw the Blaze go a goal down on 2.55 through John Dolan.
Arron Nell and Greg Owen hit the pipes either side of some great saves from Tom Murdy.
Four minutes into the second period, Chris Zarb added a second for the Stars after seizing on a mis-pass from Brad Cruickshank.
On 48.06, there was something for the Coventry fans to cheer when Jason Robinson found the net with a powerplay goal assisted by Nell and Russ Cowley.
But Dundee hit a third on 54 through Tristian Harper and Luke Fulghum hit a second for the Blaze on 58.37, assisted by Owen and Robinson but Coventry were beaten for their third time in three nights.
Elsewhere tonight, Nottingham beat Sheffield 4-1, Hull beat Newcastle 1-0, Cardiff beat Braehead 4-2.
On Wednesday night, the Blaze travel to Hull and then go to Braehead on Thursday.before they take on the Dundee Stars at the Sky Dome in Coventry next Sunday.
