Coventry Rugby Club beat Blaydon 23-10 at Butts Park Arena in a National League Division One game this afternoon.
The Newcastle based side the lead on a cold, wet afternoon thanks to an Andrew Baggett penalty in the third minute. Baggett added to that with a try which he duly converted before a 16th minute Dale Ager try which was converted Lee who also kicked a 20th minute penalty saw the game ten each at the break.
Coventry upped their game in the second minute and Charles Sadler put Phil Maynard's side in front with a 48th minute try.
Lee Audis kicked a 57th minute penalty to give Coventry an eight point lead and in the 69th minute, Jeff Gregson went over to complete a good afternoon for Coventry in front of a crowd of 803.
