Coventry United set a record for the Midland Combination Division 2 tonight with a 28-0 victory over Polesworth at Allard Way.
Against a ten man Polesworth team who were clearly struggling for players and included a 50 year old and 45 year old at centre back in order not to field any ineligible players, United were ahead in the second minute through Brian NdLovu.
Daniel Stokes made it two five minutes later with Jean Dakouri hitting the third in the tenth minute.
Stokes scored his second as did NdLovu who went on to complete his hat-trick in the seventeenth minute with two goals.
In the 21st minute, Nathan Stoute hit the seventh, followed by a fourth for NdLovu before Stokes completed his hat-trick after 26th minutes.
The goals continued with NdLovu getting number ten, Stokes eleven and Nathan Ley goal number twelve to make it 12-0 at the interval.
Two minute into the second half, Pa Njie scored number thirteen with Daniel Stokes and Jean Dakouri taking the score to 15-0.
Enter Robert Prinzel who scored a hat-trick inside ten with Nathan Stoute and Daniel Stokes also add more goals to their personal tally before Pa Njie scored goal number twenty one in the 69th minute.
Prinzel scored two more goals with another one each for Jean Dakouri, Prince Mazwi, Pa Njie, Nathan Stoute, Nkosi Mzungwana before time was called on a 28-0 win.
