Coventry Rugby Club were beaten 27-7 by Doncaster tonight at the Butts Park Arena.
Watched by a crowd of 618, Doncaster took the lead with a fourth minute Stephen McColl penalty and then doubled their tally with another penalty this time sent over the posts by James Brookes on twelve minutes.
The Coventry support did have something to cheer when Oliver Frost scored a try in the 14th minute which Ben Russell converted.
However, back came Doncaster with Bavan Armtage running over a 24th minute try, converted by James Brooks and Tongaiuilia Hudson scored a second try, converted by McColl for the visitors, eleven minutes later to see Doncaster 20-7 ahead at half time.
In stoppage time at the end of the second half, Andrew Wright ran in another try for Doncaster which Brookes converted to give Doncaster a 27-7 victory.
On Saturday, Coventry travel to Championship leaders Bristol. Kick off is at 2pm.
