Coventry Godiva Harriers runner Marlon Devonish (pictured below) was beaten in the semi-finals of the 100m by Usain Bolt but the Jamaican was disqualified in the final of the World Championships in Daegu, South Korea.
Bolt ran a time of 10.05 to beat the other seven runners in his heat including the City supporting Devonish (10.25 and 7th) to make it through to the final but was disqualified for a false start, the same fate which fell to Britain's Dwayne Chambers.
Yohan Blake won the mens 100m final in 9.93 seconds.
