Coventry Bees were back to winning ways with a superb 58-35 victory against Eastbourne Eagles at Brandon tonight.

Problems with his bike for Krysztof Kasprzak cost the pole victory in heat one, but after that he won every one of four heats.

The Bees were twelve points ahead as we went into Heat eight which was another 3-3. Kylmakorpi had a tactical ride for Eastbourne in Heat nine and the visitors won that heat 5-3 but an easy 5-1 for Kasprzak and Lewis Bridger saw the Bees now fourteen points ahead.

For Eastbourne, the meeting got worse when their number one Matej Zagar was withdrawn.

The Bees had a 5-1 win in Heat 11 before a tactical ride by Gustafsson gave Eastbourne a 4-3 win efore the interval.
