Ed Kennett has become the second rider to leave Coventry Bees Speedway team.
Following Chris Harris' departure to Birmingham, Kennett has left and signed for Elite League Champions Swindon after being given permission to speak to other clubs by The Bees' Mick Horton.
The Bees have brought back Krzysztof Kasprzak to ride along side Scott Nicholls and Horton told the Bees website: “Obviously we wish Chris Harris all the best and he still remains our asset, so hopefully one day he may return. We wanted an out-and-out No.1, and so it was a decision made by the club to pursue different avenues.
“I’m absolutely delighted the deal is done, it was my priority to find an out-and-out No.1, and they don’t come much better than Krzysztof.
“We’ve been negotiating for several weeks now and Krzysztof made it very clear he wanted to come to Coventry, which was very important to me. He wants to be here, and we wanted him here – we made it clear we wanted a No.1, and let’s look forward to some happy days.
“He had a fantastic season this year, he was near the top of the averages and he had a very popular spell at Coventry, so it’s great to bring him back here.”
