Eight Blaze fans made it to Edinburgh to see the Blaze side without Russ Cowley take on an Edinburgh side which had let in twelve goals against Cardiff on Thursday night.
Those in the Scottish capital saw Coventry go ahead in the fourth minute when Dan Carlson picked out Luke Fulghum who lashed the puck high into the net.
Five minutes later, on the powerplay, Greg Owen, made it 2-0 to Coventry. In the 19th minute, Edinburgh pulled one back when St.Jacques was left unmarked at the far post and he gave Jaeger no chance.
In to the second period and Alex Kim equalised in the 25th minute, only for Greg Owen to score at the other end and put Coventry back in front.
A great move saw Alex Kim make it 3-3 before Chris St.Jacques hit his second of the night in the 30th minute.
Four minutes into the third period and parity was restored when Dan Carlson hit a shot which deflected over Scott Reid and into the net.
In the 53rd minute, Greg Chambers fed Brad Cruickshank and Coventry were back in front. It was Chambers turn to get on the scoresheet and he made no mistake taking his chance when it came with just over four minutes left to give the Coventry Blaze a 6-4 victory.
