Coventry Blaze went down to a 7-4 defeat at Belfast Giants on Friday night.
Two seconds before the end of the first period, Coventry's Ice Hockey team went a goal down when Evan Cheverie netted and on 22.19, Adam Keefe scored a second.
Craig Peacock made it 3-0 on 26.39 with a powerplay goal but the Blaze hit back with a powerplay goal of their own from Ryan Ginand scoring on 29. 25, assisted by Adam Henrich and Ashley Tait.
However, twenty one seconds later, 3-1 became 4-1 when Peacock scored his second goal of the game.
In the final third period, Cale Tanaka scored a second goal for the Blaze on 42.13, assisted by Adam Henrich and Michael Devin.
Belfast, the Elite League Champions, raised it again and scored twice through Jeffrey Szwez on 45.19 and Darryl Lloyd on 51.33 with a powerplay goal.
The Blaze then scored twice through Adam Henrich on 51.54, assisted by Shea Guthrie and Russ Cowley and a debut short-handed goal on 55.37 for Nejc Berlisk, assisted by Cale Tanaka and Ryan Ginand.
The goalscoring was not over and 59.52, Colin Shields scored an empty net goal to send the Blaze to a 7-4 defeat.
